This beautiful abstract painting by artist Gary Oakley was inspired by Ottawi region of New Mexico where the Rio Grande meets the San Ildefonso Pueblo. The top is a free-flowing menagerie of paint layers, some of them with a metallic hint; the silver/pewter pops against the flat black. Overlaid with some subtle blue/purples to add contrast, the surface is textured and energetic. The red line in the middle is highly textured with multiple layers of paint. The bottom is flat and matte finished with a hint of yellow/green and oil stick highlights. This oil painting is ready to hang
