George Diebold, ‘Ghost Image on Jetty’, 2011, J. Cacciola Gallery

This beautiful photograph is part of George Diebold's series, titled Saltwater, which embodies the artist's lifelong love of the ocean. In this series, Diebold’s camera becomes one with what the lens sees. It does not transform it, but takes ownership, if only briefly and for the viewers’ benefit, before the photographer inevitably moves on and leaves the area as he found it, undisturbed in a life of its own. The images were shot on the East and West Coasts as well as throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

Diebold's photographs are printed meticulously on Fuji Crystal Archival paper, and are available un-mounted, museum quality matted and framed or plexiglas laminated. each photo is available in Editions of 8, including 4 artist proofs, with the exception of smaller Giclée prints, which are limited to editions of 25 with 4 artist proofs.
