About Greta Magnusson Grossman

Greta Magnusson Grossman designed houses, interiors, furniture, and lighting over the course of her long career. Born in Sweden, Grossman migrated to Southern California and began working in the post-modernist aesthetic of the day along with contemporaries such as Charles and Ray Eames, Rudolph Schindler, Richard Neutra, and others. As both an industrial designer and architect, Grossman’s influence was far-reaching among the Southern California design movement. She effortlessly combined her Scandinavian design training with the relaxed lifestyle and furniture of the Southern Californian environment to produce livable modern interiors, still relevant today.
