In the early 1990’s Guy Roisse was commissioned by IFOP to create this unique adjustable system of red metal screens, shelving, and lighting. IFOP, similar to the American “Gallup,” is the oldest polling agency in France, established in 1938. When asked to assist in the renovation of their corporate offices, Roisse saw an opportunity to “poll the polling agency,” using the opinions of the employees to create his design. The winning idea, “l’esprit fonctionnaliste industriel,” emphasized functionality, a theme which is expressed in the utilitarian design of the screens.
