Inspired by the goddess pose in yoga, Utkata Konasana, the figure channels the energy of the protective eye covering her indigo dyed dress, using her benevolent authority to protect others by sending strands of fibers down like roots to the earth.

This work features the Blue Benevolent Eye Dress, 2017, a custom-designed, handloom, natural dyed cotton dress with metallic thread details by Tasará Centre for Weaving made in Kerala, India; hand-dyed indigo by Kate Eggleston; embellished with Turkish glass and plastic Názar eye beads, & chainette fringe.
