Hadar Sobol, ‘Siren’, 2015, Valley House Gallery & Sculpture Garden

In her Siren series, Sobol reimagines the roles and utility of age - of women in their maturity. No longer temptresses, luring sailors to shore, their youthful beauty fades, and their capacity for seduction ebbs. Does she retreat into irrelevance, uselessness, or does she find new meaning in her life?
