Haroon Mirza
DEC21 (Solar Powered LED Circuit Composition 32), 2016

Haroon Mirza is known for his multimedia assemblages that function as both sculptural installations and audio compositions. Combining furniture, electronics, and found or original video footage, he tests the possibility of the visual and aural as a unified art form and explores the shifts and overlap among states of noise, sound, and music. In the installation Regaining a Degree of Control (2010), a turntable spins a radio that picks up interference from a light bulb, while a strobe oscillates to a rhythmic music loop.
