Hiroaki Morita, ‘Handmade Umbrella Stand Key (Contemporary Museum in Tokyo)’, 2012, Aoyama | Meguro

I made a replica of a key belonging to an umbrella stand from one of the museums in Tokyo. The museum's umbrella stand is located in a public space similar to the one in which, for example, a person can temporarily deposit their belongings in a coin locker. The owner of this work is entitled to the right of access to the private belongings which have been deposited by someone in the museum. The work consists of the key replica and a photograph as a proof of functioning.
