The moment one makes eye contact with Orozco's skull, intuitively a chain of circulating mental reactions are triggered: observer→Orozco→Beuys→Duchamp→observer.
Obviously, in direct relation to this eye contact, the notion of being conscious and critical of a previous generation of artists, can also be applied to the constant circling of observation and influence amongst fellow artists who are creating works for their own generation.
