These models were designed in 1951 for a student housing complex in Otaniemi, Espoo. This campus was designed by Alvar Aalto, the housing complex by Kaija and Heikki Siren. This project is reminiscent to Tapiovaara's ealier student housing project at Helsinki's Domus Academia in 1946.
