The rolled, tubular elements represent the voices which in this piece are stacked and caged, some of them turned, removed and /or replaced, therefore ignored, silenced. The encaustic application allowed me to connect the paper tubes without additional adhesives or tying elements. It adds stability, coloration and structure to the handmade paper construction. The work is wired to hang.
