Threshold is part of a series of monumental photo works. These photographs, depicting Rotterdam social housing projects, were taken by night, with long exposure times. They are analogue photographs, which present semi-private spaces lit up by public light. The places appear as theatrical stages, as if something is about to happen, or just has been taking place.
The total series consists of nine photo works. Three are in the collection of Museum het Domein, Sittard, one is in the collection of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam, one is in the collection of Enschede City Council.
