Artist Bio: Colombian artist Jamie Martinez immigrated to Florida at the age of twelve from South America. He attended Miami International University of Art and Design moved to New York City to continue his fine art education at The Fashion Institute of Technology and The Students Art League. He the publisher of Arte Fuse, which is a contemporary art blog covering shows, interviews and studio visits with today’s top international artists. Over a year ago, Jamie did a half-hour television interview with NTN24 (Nuesta Tele Noticias) for their show Lideres (leaders), shown in 21 countries with an audience of 41 million people. His work has also been featured on television programs Good Day New York and Fox News, as well as in publications including New York Magazine, Whitehot Magazine, Untitled Magazine, The Examiner and Artribune, among others. Martinez also collaborated with Diesel for a large installation in New York’s Union Square and at Galleries Lafayette in Paris. Jamie has contributed with major brands such as Ash Shoes, Rise Sport and LA|In Living. His work has shown in Russia, Spain, Canada, Miami, and at numerous galleries in New York City including: Petzel Gallery, Whitebox NY, Elga Wimmer PCC, The Gabarron Foundation, Flowers Gallery, Rush Gallery, Art Mora and many more. He also participated in a critically-acclaimed group show curated by Vida Sabbaghi at the Queens Museum. His work was recently exhibited at The Untitled Space group shows SHE INSPIRES and ONE YEAR OF RESISTANCE.
