JanaNicole’s A to Z” presents an irresistible series of multi-layered, candy-coloured, mixed media works which tackle an eclectic array of topics with an eerie sense of equality; categorising diverse subjects including obscenities, shoes, mysticism and breakfast cereals. The subtle detail contained within each piece is perfectly illustrated by Jana Nicole’s “A to Z of No” – a collection of found and remembered signage which covers decades of social, societal and cultural changes; reminding us of positive changes (as certain signs have now thankfully become defunct) and providing fresh insight into the aggressive nature of such signage; which begin with a stern statement about what is not acceptable. The A-Z of Shoes portrays the incredible variety of styles the humble shoe has evolved into since it began as a wrapped leather cloth or in most cases of the last 1000 years, the Mary Jane. It also secretly allows you to dream of the perfect shoe, should it be Prada, Gucci, Louboutin, Chanel, Julian MacDonald, Stella, that perfect heel for every day, perhaps a platform, a high heel, a flat, a ballerina, a pump. "What do i want to be when i am grown up!". JanaNicole has exhibited in some of the most prestigious locations including here on the ground at the Truman Brewery and Saatchi. Her works are collectable and tracked and are uplifting and great conversational pieces.
