A superb bottle designed and glazed by Jean Carries, Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, circa 1890. Decorated with layered matte glazes, blobs of pink glaze, and gilding from the lip to the shoulder. The surface has also been treated with a texture paddle to create a basket weave effect.

Signature: Marks: inscribed Carries
