Artist's Description: This unique work is a etched mirrored glass panel that depicts one card from a 1950 psychology test called The Blacky Pictures. This panel, "Cartoon VII: Positive Identification," was created in 1998 for an installation work entitled The Adventures of Blacky and is one of 11 such panel. The text of the questions to be asked by the psychologist of a test subject form the etched background of the cartoon image. Blacky and the toy dog are rendered in mirror. The panel is best displayed leaning against a flat service, angled so that the mirrored portion reflects light onto a nearby surface.
