Renowned experimental filmmaker Jeanne Liotta focuses many of her works on the intersection of art and science. Her process is a means of observation and reflection on the world around her, concretizing her thoughts into award-winning compositions. In the newsprint juxtaposition of politics and high fashion, her collage Economy Girl is a scrapbook of the times, the confrontational gaze of the model challenging her caption and vice versa. Liotta was included in the 2006 Whitney Biennial and her work can be found in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
