Jen Catron and Paul Outlaw’s piece titled "In the Future the Past Will Be Different. (Part 3)" is composed of 918 miniature red solo cups, which reminisce upon college frat house culture; yet the cups represent the crime scene of the deliberate mass suicide in Jonestown Guyana in 1978, where the 913 members of the Jim Jones cult were injected with cyanide-laced punch to eternally fall asleep and 5 others were killed. The syringes, kegs and pill bottles are all a part of the work. The mash-up of the frat party and the mass suicide phenomenons points to extremes of the American culture and history.
