Artists and Curators Remember Amy Winehouse in Two Companion Shows
Jennie Ottinger (Affiliate ’16–’17) was raised in Massachusetts and currently lives in San Francisco, CA. She earned a BFA from California College of the Arts and an MFA from Mills College. She has exhibited extensively in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as in New York, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, and London. She was awarded an Investing in Artists grant from Center for Cultural Innovation; a fellowship at the Kala Art Institute; the Sara Lewis Scholarship Award from Mills College; and was a 2010 finalist for SFMOMA’s SECA Art Award. Ottinger's reviews have appeared in Art in America, San Francisco Chronicle, ArtSlant, Daily Serving, It’s Nice That, Hyperallergic, Artsy Editorial, and Huffington Post. She has exhibited at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco in the group show Amy Winehouse: A Family Portrait. She is currently an Affiliate Artist at Headlands Center for the Arts and is on the curatorial committee at Southern Exposure.
