Jenny Boot, ‘Tasja’, 2015, The Public House of Art

Not exactly the kind of pet you want to snuggle up with on the sofa. Although you wouldn’t have to worry about it malting all over the furniture, that’s for sure. As part of the super heroes series, Tasja the sphinx cat symbolises Cat woman, but is also the cat of the joker. Although still married to Batman, indicated by the collar around her neck, her alliances with the Joker are pretty obvious. This feline is displayed in a similar way to her human counterpart, with a black sinister background, piercing eyes and a threatening presence.
This cat portrait is part of the superhero inspired, photographic series that Jenny Boot has produced as part of The Awesome collection.
