Johana Riegrová, ‘Lucky Cards’, 2017, Flat Space Art

Baroness Johana Riegrová is a very well acclaimed artist who has exhibited extensively globally. Riegrová finds the abstraction process of modern art an excellent medium for capturing the essence of places, situations and themes, whereby these are more easily absorbed by the observer via colour or geometric expression. As a direct descendant of founding father of Czechoslovakia, Riegrová is Frantisek Palacky's great granddaughter of whom can be found on Czech currency bills.

Recalling the hand that once brought the artist luck, Riegrová reflects upon the memory that holds purple, blue, black and red cards and in doing so transfer the source of energy she has attained from artistic expression and creative process.
