About John Will
Including printmaking, printing, performance, video, and photography, John Will’s work contains sharp, humorous commentary on politics and pop culture. His paintings particularly operate in this fashion, often featuring bold, primary colors and misspelled words. One project involved the artist founding an organization called Artists Anonymous, complete with a manifesto entitled Pointlessism. His monumental work Anything and Everything comprises two hundred paintings that are each two-by-two-feet in size. Loaded with art world jokes, the work positions Will as both a wise insider and a critical outsider.
