Josh Slater, ‘Too Many Days, Not Enough Nights’, 2015, Watermill Center Summer Benefit Auction 2016

Josh Slater has worked extensively in collage, drawing, and painting. He cites abstract painter Dan Christensen as an influence, explaining that through art he seeks images that will express universality, to virtually explain the unexplainable. In the 2015 piece Too Many Days, Not Enough Nights, Slater uses acrylic and spray paint to take expressionistic control of color, choreographing ghostly imprints and hazy fades from one droplet to the next. Slater’s work has been presented at the 9th Shanghai Biennial, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and Kristen Lorello in New York.

Please note: An additional framing cost of $180.00 will be applied to the purchase price of the artwork.
