Kamran Taherimoghaddam expounds upon disorder, subjugation, and instability, often in tandem with his wife and fellow artist, Sepideh Salehi. His Men at Work (mixed media on photo paper) was created from a series of starkly drawn wooden blocks, each presenting a different monstrous dark figure. Each of the blocks communicate a pervading sense of hopelessness and loss of control. Taherimoghaddam says commented that while his characters are “fictitious,” they are indeed “shadows of reality.” His work has been shown at Fabbrica Europa in Florence and Tropedo Factory Art Center, VA.
