Makes a fantastic gift! Fantastic provenance - KAWS signed it for us at the New York Art Book Fair in September 2016. (We waited in line for hours -- so you don't have to!) Boldly signed and dated by KAWS on the first front end page of this elegant 263 page 1st Edition hardcover monograph titled "KAWS" by Mónica Ramírez-Montagut. The book has a cloth binding with mylar cover and was published by Rizzoli International Publications, Incorporated · Hardback · 263 pages ·
This book does a survey of the artist's body of work. Multidisciplinary artist KAWS was first known for his work as a graffiti artist and his subversive approach to popular imagery on bus shelter and phone booth advertisements. KAWS signed this book for us in September 2016 at the New York Art Book Fair at PS1 in Long Island City, Queens. We bought this elegant KAWS monograph, then trekked all the way out to Queens, went to the fair - and waited (and waited) in the LONG line (the longest in the fair) to get the elusive KAWS signature on this book. Makes a terrific gift. In fine condition.

Signature: Boldly signed and dated '16 by KAWS in silver sharpie on the first front end page of the book. (see photo)

KAWS personally signed for us at the New York Art Book Fair sponsored by Printed Matter at a special book signing in September, 2016 - so provenance is direct. We trekked all the way out to PS1 MOMA in Long Island City - to snag this signature, so you won't have to!

About KAWS

“KAWS” is a graffiti artist, illustrator, painter, sculptor, product designer, and toymaker. His cartoonish style—including his best-known characters with X-ed out eyes—has its roots in his early career as a street artist, when he began replacing advertisements with his own, masterful acrylic paintings in the early 1990s. Since, KAWS has embraced the commercialist spirit of Claes Oldenburg and Takashi Murakami, designing everything from Kanye West album covers to Nike sneakers. Avoiding the distinction between products and art objects, KAWS has shown his work increasingly in galleries and museums over the past decade; some of his most famous images are reimagined versions of pop characters like Mickey Mouse and the Michelin Man.
