In this close-up portrait, the artist addresses the play on words eye shadows – shadow. Here, the shadow becomes a dark element, something heavy, oppressing, exhausting and haunting. The theme of contrast between the outside and the inside constantly recurring in the artist’s work, and the tension between these two poles is emphasized. Alongside, the artist polemicizes with popular images of women and the aesthetics of product photography.
