In between two strings of pearls a camera lens sticks out. The pearls turn into bait, they allure and distract from the camera. Thus the illusion of goodness is created, which conceals the fact that we are constantly being watched. The “gaze” of the camera piercing the viewer makes an impression that this watching takes place live and has a purpose. An anxious atmosphere builds up, and a possibility of threat is implied.
