Kristy Sandoval was born and raised in the Northeast San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. A first generation xicana, Sandoval studied at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco before returning to the San Fernando Valley, where she’s currently based. Her pieces are vibrant, promoting activism and emphasizing the healing nature of art. She uses her art to advocate for human rights, world affairs and women’s empowerment. Sandoval advocates for arts education and runs all-age mural workshops in underserved communities, and hopes to continue expanding with public art projects globally.
