This replica scrimshaw sculpture has two depictions on it, one of Judith and Holofernes and one of cupid trapped by unhappy victims of his arrows. One side isinscripted: “non silui amplius”, but Fischer decided in the aging process to erode the “non silui” leaving the “amplius” which means furthermore or no more. On the other side it reads: “love cannot be corporated” in Latin.
