Lindsay Locatelli, ‘Flower Falls, Necklace’, 2016, The Gallery at Reinstein|Ross

Artist Lindsay Locatelli hand-sculpts and carves each unique jewelry from polymer clay. After fabrication, she applies various finishing techniques such as paint, carving texture and gold-leafing. This part of her process requires many layers of materials and tedious sanding sessions in between.

Although currently based in Minnesota, the artist spent a large portion of her creative career in New Mexico, whose colors and textures have left an indelible mark on her work.

A bib necklace with clustered "flowers" made from polymer clay. The flowers are articulated and attached to flexible sterling silver strips. The pendant is attached to a metallic leather cord and closes on the side with a magnet. Very comfortable on and lightweight.

The cord is 20" L and the pendant is 8.5" L.
