Lindsay Locatelli, ‘Softhard, Necklace’, 2016, The Gallery at Reinstein|Ross

Artist Lindsay Locatelli hand-sculpts and carves each unique jewelry from polymer clay. After fabrication, she applies various finishing techniques such as paint, carving texture and gold-leafing. This part of her process requires many layers of materials and tedious sanding sessions in between.

Although currently based in Minnesota, the artist spent a large portion of her creative career in New Mexico, whose colors and textures have left an indelible mark on her work.

The sea foam green color of this necklace is a favorite of the artist and appears in several other pieces, including a large pair of softhard earrings. The chain on this necklace is adjustable.

Please contact the gallery for additional pieces by this artist.
