About Lisa Bradley

Lisa Bradley's paintings have been described as meditative, transcendent, and lucid. Bradley likes to paint within certain physical constraints, such as canvas size and a limited palette; she most frequently creates work using a center-focused composition. Within these boundaries, she has produced a widely varied body of work, using strong contrasts and gestural brushwork over textured backgrounds. Bradley is particularly known for using layers of sheer and translucent color to create spatial depth and intense though atmospheric colors.
