Louis and Auguste Lumiere (attributed to), ‘Young Girl with Roses’, 1907-10, Contemporary Works/Vintage Works

Both the original source in Marsailles and the passe-partout tend to confirm that this image was by the Lumiere studio. Several other plates from the same source and group were still lifes that contained known Lumiere props. In "A. Lumiere & Ses Fils" cardboard passe-partout with R. Dechavannes, Paris, Depose (registration mark for the passe-partout itself). The pass-partout is 8 x 6-3/8 inches. The Lumiere studio often used these pass-partouts for their work, although not exclusively. Date of 1/2 plate: 1907-10.
