Framed. Acid free mat and backing. Prints are signed under the mat – each is a unique monoprint.
Batchelder was awarded the Ora Schneider Regional Residency and Grant from the Women's Studio Workshop, Rosendale, NY which is where these prints were made. She used five copper plates to create 16 unique monoprints by creating new compositions with the plates. A metalsmith by training, drawing has always held an important place in her oeuvre. Batchelder strives to capture the patterns of her prints by etching or cutting into her steel jewelry.
They accompany her jewelry which can be viewed here:
Signature: Prints are signed under the mat.
