Magnus Gjoen a London born artist with an impressive fashion background, studied fashion design in London and Milan. Commencing his career by working as a denim designer and graphic designer for Vivienne Westwood amongst others. Magnus takes inspiration from the street and pop art and mixing it with fine art. Taking inspiration from the street and pop art and juxtaposing it with fine art. With his fresh and modern approach on masterpieces, questioning beliefs between religion, war beauty, destruction and art. His art at once uplifting and damning; this is salvation for a godless generation. Updating old masterpieces and presenting them in a new way has always been Magnus' perogative. He keeps the historical references in his works whilst expertly managing the balance between old and contemporary.
