EA (Artists proof): The Sorlier Catalogue says that there were a few “avant les lettres” proofs made before the poster edition. As such this is a rare Artist Proof.

This item was an avant les lettre poster for an exhibition held at the Galerie des Ponchettes, 77 Quai des Etats Unis, Nice, between 10th July and 16th August 1970. It was Lithographed by Charles Soprlier, a principal Chromatist in Mourlot Freres, after a painting by Marc Chagall. Chagall supervised, approved and signed the finished prodiuct.
