Mary Louise (M.L.) Snowden: A sculptor noted for exploring the monumental forces and energies of geological phenomena. Her vision intends to convey a sense of power and movement throughout the bronze into new levels of extrusion, mathematical weight balancing, chasing techniques and proprietary patina formulations. She is the sole heir of select 19th century marble carving, finishing, casting and bronze patination techniques from the Paris studios of Auguste Rodin and Antonin Mercié. In 1990, M.L. Snowden inherited a collection of 38 of the original sculpting tools from the Rodin Studios. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Hakone Open-Air Museum in Japan and other public and private collections. M.L.
