The marking goes back to the order of August III of 08.04.1734, according to which the motifs of those pieces marked AR (= Augustus Rex) were reserved for the king alone. Porcelains with motifs that were released for sale were marked with NB.
So far, only one other piece has become known, which also bears the engraved AR mark. A dish from the early Yellow Lion service from the Schneider Collection, Hetjens Museum (Julia Weber 2013 vol. I Fig. 39 a-c)
