Michael Giliberti studied graphic design at Parsons School of Design in New York and UCLA, and printmaking at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. Prior to committing full time to his painting and printmaking, Giliberti enjoyed a successful career as a creative director in corporate advertising. It was his interest and exposure to photography, combined with his training as an artist, which formed the basis of his creative process.
Impressions of a cross country road trip are one of the many inspirations in his artworks. “I paint subjects that may be familiar to others or attract their attention, maybe a place they’ve visited, or possibly somewhere they’d like to go.”
Giliberti’s style is characterized by vivid colors and powerful compositions. The inspirations of his artworks are his own photographs. He mixes aspects from several photographs through multiple layers of acrylic paint to add depth with new color combinations and textures. As a result, each artwork evolves and changes from the first stroke to the last.
This one-of-a-kind original artwork is wired and ready to hang. It is framed in a black modern wood frame. Size and price include frame. A certificate of authenticity and hanging hardware is included.
