Michele Pred, ‘CHOICE’, 2014, Headlands Center for the Arts: Benefit Auction 2017

Michele Pred is a Swedish-American conceptual artist. She works with found and confiscated objects and technology imbued with cultural and political meaning. In 2016 she received a Pro-Choice Leadership Award from Personal PAC in Chicago. Recent exhibitions include group shows at Jack Shainman Gallery in New York and the 21C Museum, Kentucky. Her work is part of the permanent collections of the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive; the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) New York; The Contemporary Museum in Honolulu; and the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York, and is held in numerous corporate and private collections. Pred received her BFA from California College of the Arts. She is a member of the For Freedoms Super PAC. She is represented by Nancy Hoffman Gallery, New York.
