Mika Tajima
Mika Tajima was born in 1975 in Los Angeles, CA and is based in New York, NY. Tajima has exhibited at Centre Pompidou, Paris; the South London Gallery, London, UK; Tensta Konsthall, Stockholm; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Seattle Art Museum; SculptureCenter, New York, NY; PS1 Contemporary Art Center, New York, NY; Bass Museum, Miami, FL; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; and the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN. Tajima’s work was included in the 2008 Whitney Biennial. Most recently, Tajima was featured in a solo exhibition at 11R Gallery in early 2016. Tajima is represented by 11R Gallery, New York, NY; TARO NASU in Tokyo, Japan; and Kayne Griffin Corcoran, Los Angeles, CA. She is the recipient of a 2017 New York Artadia Award.
