Milton H. Greene, 1956, The Archives Store

Taken in Connecticut in 1956, this image of a young freckle-faced star reveals an intimate side seen only by few. During the summer, Marilyn and the Greene family would go a mile down the road to the home of Richard Rogers and end a hot summer day with a cool swim in their pool.

Wearing a red blow-up ring life preserver around her neck, Marilyn smiles playfully while holding onto the side of the pool in her black and white checkered bikini bathing suit.

Printing is done on an Epson Stylus Pro® series printer (using UltraChrome K3® with Vivid Magenta) using Innova FibaPrint Warm Cotton Gloss 335 gsm paper. This ink and media combination is rated by Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc. to last over 200 years before showing any signs of fading under proper conditions.
