About Miriam Laura Leonardi

Swiss-born Miriam Laura Leonardi’s work explores issues surrounding social dynamics, through various forms of media, particularly text, sound, and performance. Leonardi is a prolific conceptual artist, addressing the individual—as both a subject and object of the gaze—in relation to culture. In her first solo show, “MODELS,” at Plymouth Rock, Zurich, in 2014, Leonardi presented two video works alongside text and sound pieces, creating a complex, interconnected network. By focusing on the transmission of messages, Leonardi investigates the limits of communication in relation to the public presentation of oneself.
