A large terracotta Majiayao culture amphora, from the upper Yellow River region of Neolithic China, circa 2300 BC.
Standing on a small round base, flaring into a bulbous body, narrow circular neck, turned out mouth and two small loop handles. The upper body decorated with an orange-red slip and painted with stylised frog patterns.
