About Olivia Arthur

Born and raised in the U.K., Olivia Arthur studied mathematics at Oxford University and photojournalism at the London College of Printing. She began her career as a photographer in 2003, and is perhaps best known for her works focused on women and the East-West cultural divide, a series that has taken her to the borders between Europe and Asia, Iran and Saudi Arabia. She published her first book, Jeddah Diary, in 2012, documenting young women in Saudi Arabia. She is the co-founder of Fishbar, a space for photography in London.
