Pádraig Timoney, ‘A Traveling Safe A What?’, 2016, Andrew Kreps

About Pádraig Timoney

Padraig Timoney’s exceptionally diverse practice includes, but is by no means limited to, photography, painting, sculpture, assemblage, video, multimedia, performance, and interdisciplinary practices that incorporate many or all of these mediums together. Within a single series, he frequently combines disparate styles, periods, techniques, and both traditional and unorthodox materials. For instance, for his painting Introvertive Ahedonia (2006), he painted a landscape with a palette knife and attached plaster casts of piles of sale tags. As his career has progressed, painting has acquired a more central place in his practice as a medium that binds his multifarious approach.
