By changing a single detail (or very few) in a highly complex pattern, Carrara leaves us open to discover that these small variations modify and alter each individual work and our perception of them.

In the series of sculptures 400 - 600 Yards, the intention is to further develop a process already applied in the Appearance (black ink on Mylar) drawing series.
The three dimensional work reinforced the movement of the optic light effect, which can be perceived through multiples angles. Instead of applying brush and black ink, each panel of Plexiglas is wrapped with black nylon thread and attach all together.
