Patrick Van Caeckenbergh
Belgian, b. 1960
Follow

Patrick Van Caeckenbergh creates drawings, collages, installations, and sculptures in an attempt to reorder and reclassify the world in a highly personal, yet universal way. By restructuring everyday objects, he creates illusive collages and peculiar sculpture of figures and phenomena that remind us of fables and fairytales. The binding factor in Van Caeckenbergh’s oeuvre is the process of thinking, digesting knowledge, and tinkering. His work is philosophical and critical of the one-sided, mechanical and technical methods of social structures.
