About Paul Endres Jr.

Drawing from diverse sources in history, art, and literature, Paul Endres, Jr. portrays a farcical, post-apocalyptic mythos. In his “Tales of the American Burden” series, Endres presents the viewer with a post-disaster Boston, featuring recurrent characters in monumental, figurative paintings. By referencing the techniques of such canonical painters as Jaques-Louis David and Benjamin West, Endres examines “the absurdity of historical inaccuracies in artwork,” as he says, in close detail.
