Cosmic Scatterings of Abstraction: Four Artists Take Stock of Abstraction in the 21st Century
Paul Kirley blends his own photographs and acrylic paint on wood panels to create unique and dynamic urban scenes. Movements are juxtaposed with architectual elements from international locations. Paul Kirley uses photos he takes while traveling the world. He layers them to the wood. He then applies acrylic paint in geometric shapes as well as free forms onto the photographs to blend the urban scenes. His signature on the front of the artwork is etched into the acrylic paint and adds another interesting aspect to this unique artwork.
